AI fashion photography prompts that start with the actual garment
A good prompt sets the scene and shot. Your garment and adult model photos carry the visual facts. Adapt these four briefs, then compare each candidate with the real clothing before you publish it.
Sign-in is required to generate. Use photos of adults that you own or have permission to use.
01 · Reference
Photograph the item
Capture the front, back, closures and texture in honest light. A prompt cannot recover details absent from the reference.
02 · Direction
Specify one scene
Name the frame, light and background. Keep the garment visible and change one creative variable at a time.
03 · Review
Compare candidates
Check silhouette, print, color, labels, hands and proportions. The image is a visual concept, not evidence of fit or exact materials.

01 / PROMPT
Clean product image
Keep the garment easy to compare with a real listing photo.
Using the uploaded adult model photo and the uploaded [garment] reference, create a waist-up catalog-style image against a plain warm-gray background. Use soft, even light. Keep the garment front, neckline, closures and visible seams unobstructed. No props, added logos or text. Treat the garment photo as the visual reference; I will compare the result with the real item before use.
Check before use: Compare neckline, buttons, seam placement and color against the original garment image.
02 / PROMPT
Streetwear scene
Test a contextual image while keeping the item readable.
Use the uploaded authorized adult model and [garment] references. Place the person on a quiet city sidewalk in open shade, with a three-quarter body frame. Keep the garment visible from collar to hem and use a simple background that does not compete with its silhouette. Avoid brand marks, readable signage and extra accessories. Review fabric texture and printed details against the real item.
Check before use: Check whether shadows change the apparent fabric color or hide the hem.
03 / PROMPT
Editorial detail
Explore a closer crop for a collection story.
From the uploaded model and [garment] photos, create a restrained fashion editorial portrait with side light and a neutral studio wall. Frame from mid-thigh upward, keeping the garment construction and sleeves visible. Do not invent embroidery, buttons, pockets or labels. Leave space at one side for a designer to add copy later; do not generate text in the image.
Check before use: Zoom in on pattern alignment, hands, sleeve ends and any visible fasteners.
04 / PROMPT
Lookbook series
Keep framing consistent across several candidates.
Use the uploaded adult model and [garment] references. Create a full-length image against a muted cream studio backdrop, soft frontal light, straight camera angle and generous space around the person. Keep the garment fully in frame. For each new candidate, keep the backdrop and framing consistent while changing only the pose. Do not add other garments, logos or text. Compare every candidate with the physical item before publishing.
Check before use: Check that one candidate has not changed garment length or replaced an accessory.
Where to put the prompt in TryOnSwap
- 1. Prepare references. Upload an adult person photo and clear garment images to their separate slots.
- 2. Choose the scene workflow. In the studio, select a scene and choose Custom to reveal the scene text box. Paste one prompt and replace the bracketed item name.
- 3. Generate and inspect. Look at the result beside the physical garment or accurate listing photos. Reject candidates that invent details.
A prompt is only one input. TryOnSwap does not generate a complete catalog from text alone; it needs the uploaded photos and sign-in.
Try a scene in the studioBefore the image goes into a listing
- Match the garment color to a real photo under neutral light.
- Check closures, seams, pocket placement and prints.
- Inspect face, hands, posture and garment edges at full size.
- Keep accurate product photos for size, fabric and labels.

Quick answers
Can a prompt fix a blurry product photo? No. Retake or improve the reference image first; the prompt should not be used to guess hidden details.
Do these prompts guarantee an exact garment match? No. They describe a direction. Compare the result with the real item before use.
Do I need to pay to read or copy these prompts? No. Generating in the studio requires sign-in and uses the current credit pricing.
